Simon at the keys
Simon Frei was born in Altstätten SG and grew up in Hinterforst, where his musical journey began at an early age. He started playing the piano at 8 and took up the church organ at 11, regularly accompanying services. Simon continually honed his craft by attending workshops and gaining performance experience.

After discovering his passion for jazz piano, he studied under New York jazz pianist Peter Madsen and immersed himself in the genre through workshops and jam sessions. His versatility has allowed him to perform in various styles and ensembles, ranging from intimate groups to larger formations.

In addition to his work with eve & the melting minds, Simon has also completed his service with the Swiss Military Music in Aarau and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Piano at the University of Lucerne.
With a blend of classical roots and jazz influences, Simon brings a unique touch to the band's sound.
